The first was in 1962, the second in 1980. The crime, on both occasions, was treason for pushing for Taiwanese independence, and for this I spent over 25 years in prison. In 2006, then-president Chen Shui-bian (陳水扁) and members of his family had allowed themselves to get involved in corrupt deals, and I organized the “Million Voices Against Corruption, President Chen Must Go” movement. The governing Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and sections of the press came out to protect Chen, and inexplicably accused me of that heinous crime I spoke of above: “selling out Taiwan.” For them, the DPP was Taiwan, and to “love” Chen was to love Taiwan. As I saw it, putting party interests first in this way was not good for the country.周年慶Judgments on one’s patriotism, of whether one “loved” Taiwan or was selling the country down the river, became powerful tools in the hands of the competing political parties, blue versus green, in their fight against each other. The Taiwanese people had lost their political spirit, had lost any sense of direction or goal as they entered the 21st century. The presidential election descended into a scrap that centered almost entirely on the issue of patriotism. His whole life, like so many other people in this country, he was never quite exactly sure which country he belonged to. I sincerely hope that in 20 years’ time, 30 years’ time, 50 years’ time, when I am no longer around and my children’s children have grown up, they will be able to live in peace together with their loved ones, and no longer have to worry about which country they come from. I believe that only when we have thrown off the shackles of doubt over which country we should identify with shall we be truly free as a people.Finally, I’d like to say something about why I chose to call this book Common Sense. This is a question that friends who knew I was writing a book have asked me, most of whom thought it had something to do with a pamphlet of the same name published in 1776 by Thomas Paine, a publication that profoundly influenced the American independence movement.2019流行產品暢銷排行 I just smile and put my hands up. 鬼想闖進來！ 住四樓透天厝遇鬼

一名網友在爆系故事館分享他的經歷，他說這件事發生在2000年，他正準備升大學二年級。他用這則可怕的故事要告訴你，「租房子真的要慎選...」
原PO表示，「大一開始時，因為剛到外地，人生地不熟，所以租的房子跟室友都不一定是自己最喜歡的。於是大二那年，我與幾個比較好的同學，另外再找了一間透天厝，4房，有廚房，有客廳，當時也不懂，看了房子乾乾淨淨的，房間也夠大，4個人就開開心心的簽約了。準備暑假過後就搬進去住。」

「暑假結束前1個星期，當時的女友打電話給我，希望我提早幾天回去，她也要提早回去，可以順便為我慶生，過一下兩人世界。我當下很開心，準備了行李，在約定的時間就回去了。」
「女友因為我換房子，房間變超大，又是套房，整個人很是開心。從早忙到晚，終於把東西都搬到新房了。（當時我室友都還在老家過暑假）開始整理房間的時候，打開衣櫥，我跟女友稍微傻眼，裡面有一套女生的洋裝，而且看起來很舊，當下我打給房東，房東說：『麻煩你丟了吧，應該是前一個房客留下來的。』我也不疑有他，就順手把他丟在袋子裡繼續整理。」
「到了晚上吃完晚餐，租了幾部電影（當時網路下載很慢），跟女友看著電影，突然電燈閃了一下。我跟女友說，應該是短路了，明天我檢查看看。才剛說完話，電燈又閃了一下。畢竟當時年輕氣盛。也沒在怕。就把一部電影看完了。年輕氣盛咩！又久別勝新婚，當然洗個澡就嘿嘿嘿。」
「嘿嘿嘿結束之後，我們倆沖洗一下後，躺在床上聊著聊著就矇矇的睡著了。」「先簡單說一下我租的透天厝。大門是正路衝（當時不懂，長大才知道），一樓是客廳、餐廳、廚房。二樓有兩個房間，一個主臥（我住的）及另一個雅房，三樓二間雅房一間衛浴。四樓是一個鐵皮屋頂，洗曬衣物跟熱水器。」
「就在我剛矇矇睡著時，突然聽到三樓的房間門有人打開，大約過了10-15秒，很大力的把門關起來。我轉頭看著我女友，我女友睜大的眼睛看著我，並問我：「你同學回來了喔？」我看一下時間，凌晨2:11，誰會這個時候回來呀，我這樣回答著。突然三樓另外一間門也被緩緩的打開，而且這次還聽到舊門［喞～～～］的打開聲，也大約10-15秒，忽然被很大力的把門關上。我跟女友很不知所措的抱在一起。大約過了3-5分鐘，這時後二樓我隔壁的門也被慢慢的打開了，也是大約10-15秒，門又被大力的關上。這時我女友已經受不了了，流下了眼淚。我趕緊跳起來把門鎖起來。」
「我趕快回去抱著女友，安慰他：『別怕，我在這』。其實我都有點閃尿了，只能故作堅強。突然門口有動靜了，有人在轉我房間的門把。我跟女友抱的更緊了，轉了幾下，打不開，突然之間沒動靜了。我跟女友依然抱在一起，大約過了5分鐘，我的房間門開始被拉撞拉撞，女友崩潰了，開始大哭尖叫。我也放開我女友，拿起水果刀，開始罵三字經、五字經之類的，突然聲音停了。一陣急促的腳步聲往一樓下去，但是，並不是往門口，而是往廚房的方向。我打開門繼續罵，並要女友留在房間。」
「打開房間跟樓梯所有的電燈，並拿著水果刀，慢慢走到一樓，沒有人在一樓，大門也是關好好的，廚房並無後門，只有一個小窗戶，窗戶也沒打開。於是我衝上去叫女友衣服穿一穿，皮包鑰匙拿著，機車騎了就出去，當時凌晨3:18，不敢回去了。」
「到了早上我打給房東，告知昨天的事，房東認為我在鬼扯。」他說，「我打給同學，其中一個說他今天會回來，等我同學下來後，我們在一起檢查過一遍房子，就在4樓時，我往房子後面一看，不看還好，看了真的腳軟，有一大一小的墳墓，正對著我們租的透天厝的廚房。我跟同學跑去問隔壁鄰居，才知道現在的房東才剛買下這棟房子，之前的屋主因為老婆跟女兒出車禍死了，悲痛不已，將他們倆個葬在後面的空地。後來屋主也過世了，房子就被親戚賣了。但是墳沒有牽(遷)走，而現在的房東因為便宜就買下來，根本也不知道後面空地有墳。」
「而我猜，那件舊洋裝應該是那可憐母女的，昨晚應該是在找洋裝。」結果呢？「房子當然沒繼續租，只是押金被沒收了，年輕不懂咩。」
